I fully recognise and am grateful for my own lived experiences, but I am just 1 voice within wonderfully varied communities. I genuinely love learning, and I’m committed to continually expanding my understanding of different experiences and ways of existing... and most importantly, bringing that learning into Happy Heads.

If you have lived experience or expertise, or something I could learn from, I’d love to hear from you. Happy Heads is a work in progress, and your feedback helps make it even better :)

Happy Heads Policies
Deposits & Rescheduling
A 50% deposit is required to secure all 1:1 session bookings, with the remaining amount payable at the time of treatment. Deposits are non-refundable, but can be transferred to a future booking when at least 48 hours' notice is given.

Behind every Happy Heads appointment is time spent preparing, setting up, and holding a slot just for you. If you need to reschedule, please be sure to give at least 48 hours' notice so your deposit stays protected.
Â
Less than 48 hours' notice, or simply not showing up, means the deposit is retained.

Thank you so much for understanding, and for supporting a small business.
Health & Treatment Policy

When treatment can't go ahead

Some circumstances mean I can't provide treatment, temporarily or at all, including:

-
Infectious illness (COVID-19, fever, contagious symptoms)
-
Infectious skin condition or new unexplained rash
-
Suspected or confirmed blood clot / DVT
-
Recent major surgery (until medically declared fit)
-
Pregnancy, or cancer diagnosis or current cancer treatment (not currently trained in pregnancy or oncology massage, but this will be on the menu soon!)

Some conditions don't automatically mean "no", they mean we adapt!

If you're living with arthritis, joint pain, allergies, a chronic condition or other health considerations, we can look at safe ways to adapt treatment.

We might skip an area, adjust the pressure or swap to something super gentle, like feathers or other ASMR tools (this is one of the joys of Happy Heads. It's all about adapting the experience to you.

On occasion, I may need consent from a medical professional first, and when in doubt, I'll always err on the side of caution.

Pre-treatment checks & paperwork (sigh!)

1:1 treatments: around 72 hours before your appointment, you'll receive a consultation form by email (i promise it's as fun & as engaging as I could make it!). Please complete it honestly, it gives me the information I need to understand your health, identify anything that may affect your treatment and make sure I can personalise the session appropriately.

Shorter treatments at events & pop-ups: we won't make you fill out the paperwork equivalent of a mortgage application! But we will have a quick consultation chat before we start, covering the key things I need to know to ensure your treatment safe.

My professional limitations

I am... the owner of a Level 3 Diploma in Full Body Massage, including Anatomy & Physiology (VTCT/ITEC, Ofqual regulated), and an accredited Indian Head Massage practitioner (ABT & CThA accredited). I'm trained to provide full-body massage and Indian head massage in the traditional relaxing style I was taught (or lighter!).

I am not... a sports massage therapist, deep tissue specialist, physiotherapist or doctor. I won't diagnose conditions, treat injuries or advise on pain management. Please always seek advice from a doctor or relevant qualified professional, I'll happily point you in the right direction if I can :)
Â
The "Don't be a Plonker" Policy
At Happy Heads kindness is non-negotiable. It is a place for all minds, bodies, identities, sexual orientations, ethnicities, genders, abilities and backgrounds, and zero tolerance is given to anything that makes another person feel unwelcome, judged, belittled or unsafe.

We are a professional and strictly non-sexual massage service. Any suggestive, lewd, or inappropriate behaviour, in person or via any other form of contact, will not be tolerated.

Crossing these boundaries will likely result in treatment being ended without refund, future bookings refused, and contact blocked. Depending on severity, incidents may be reported to the appropriate authority and the police.

Be kind. Be respectful. Don't be a menace.
